ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

We soon found out that this "monster" was called ABYSS. I was always a sucker for a masked/face painted wrestler and I was hooked on Abyss immediately.

Gradually, TWC started showing IMPACT! on a weekly basis, and we got to see what Abyss had evolved into: a big hitting, hardcore wrestler. His feuds with Raven, AJ Styles, Christian Cage & Mick Foley are things of legends.

He also got to share the ring with Hall Of Famers such as Sting, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and more.

Abyss also showed longevity by being in memorable storylines (such as with Father James Mitchell), showing that he wasn't just a hardcore wrestler, that he could be part of major storylines.

Around 2015, I approached Abyss about working together on a website for him (he previously had a website between 2005-2007) and we worked together for the better part of 3 years.

I remember watching NWA TNA on The Wrestling Channel (TWC) in 2004/2005 when this masked monster came from out of nowhere to help Kid Kash.

You see, it was still the time of dial up internet, smartphones were not invented and TWC was about two years behind on showing NWA TNA.

He is genuinely the nicest guy I have worked with in my 20 years in doing design work.

So - why do a website, when Abyss is not an active wrestler?

Simple, I have a massive library of footage of him throughout the years, and I want to share them with the world.

This website is a work in progress and it's going to be updated weekly, with results, photos and video of Abyss's career.

This site is not however, endorsed by Abyss - this is just to keep alive...the LEGACY OF ABYSS.
